一个名叫T.I.的美国说唱歌手，今天在Twitter引起了轩然大波。

T.I.的女儿黛雅(Deyjah Harris)今年18岁了。据T.I.说，从黛雅16岁起，他就会每年带她去接受各种妇科检查，以确保黛雅的“处女膜是完整的”。
Rapper T.I. has sent Twitter into overdrive after he revealed that he takes his teenage daughter to a gynecologist to check if her hymen is intact.
在说唱歌手T.I.透露他带十几岁的女儿去妇科医生那检查处女膜是否完好后，推特都快炸掉了。
The hip hop star said he would then accompany his daughter to the gynecologist, asking her after the exam if she minded her ob/gyn sharing the results.
这位嘻哈明星表示，他会陪同女儿去看妇科医生，并在检查结束后，问女儿是否介意她医生把检查结果告诉他。
Deyjah, the rapper said, has been subject to such check-ups since she turned 16, noting that “as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact.”
他说，黛雅从16岁起就开始接受处女膜检查，还指出“到她18岁生日时，她的处女膜仍然完好无损。”

……9012年了，还有人年年拉着女儿去检查处女膜？他还来自西方国家、是个公众人物？
如此怪异的行径让大家反感不已。许多Twitter网友连声谴责，有的怒斥T.I.无知、处女膜不是只发生了性行为才“不完整”：

让医生检查你的女儿是否有过性行为，是一种侮辱她的、病态的行为。
甚至，通过破损的处女膜来辨别（是否有性行为），本身就是行不通的。骑自行车也可能弄伤自己、弄破处女膜。
有的直言T.I.做法“有毒”，得赶紧停止！

“处女膜”——或者称为“阴道瓣”更合适——它本来就不是一层完全密合的膜（不然大姨妈怎么流出来？）。有些女孩甚至天生没有处女膜，这都很正常。

而一些剧烈运动，或者不小心摔伤磕伤，也是有可能“弄破”它的。
但令人匪夷所思的是，T.I.居然疑似连剧烈运动都不让黛雅参加，就是为了保持她处女膜的“完整”……
The rapper indicated his daughter’s gynecologist also explained other ways a hymen can become stretched open, such as riding a bike, horseback riding or other physical activities.
这位说唱歌手表示，他女儿的妇科医生还解释过处女膜被拉伸开的其他方式，比如骑自行车、骑马或其他体育活动。
“I say, ‘Look doc — she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bikes, she don’t play no sports, man — just check the hymen, please, and give me back my results expeditiously.” He added: “I will say, as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact.”

就为了这么个结缔组织，年年把女儿推去妇科医生那检查，还不让女儿做幅度大的运动……
“膜”比人还重要么？
更何况，“检查处女膜”这样的行径毫无道理，又侵犯了女孩的隐私和尊严，已被世卫组织严厉谴责过。
Virginity testing, which often involves a doctor inspecting the hymen for tears or stretching, is widely considered an unnecessarily invasive practice that has no medical benefit. A report from the National Institutes of Health found that these tests can have a deeply negative psychological impact on women and girls.

The World Health Organization has vehemently denounced virginity testing, calling it "a violation of the human rights of girls and women."

"'Virginity testing' has no scientific or clinical basis," the organization said in a statement. "There is no examination that can prove a girl or woman has had sex – and the appearance of girl’s or woman’s hymen cannot prove whether they have had sexual intercourse, or are sexually active or not."
